Already for a long time I had the feeling I wanted to do something with pinecones. I had already been collecting them and put them on my altar or made nature mandalas with them.

Then I learned the meaning of the pinecone.

I never realized that our pineal gland, which effects human consciousness, is shaped like a tiny pinecone. The symbol of the pinecone can be found in all religions and also in the Freemasonry and esoteric Christianity. 

Examples can also be seen in the temple ruins of Cambodia. The top of the staff of Osiris has the symbol of a pinecone and this same symbol also appears on the staff of the Pope.

When I was in Rome two years go little did I realize that one of the biggest statues in the Vatican is that of a huge pinecone with peacocks on either side. You will find it on the "Court of the Pine Cone" and it is the largest in the world. 

Also on the Piazza Venezia is a Roman statue of a pinecone.

Quite often you see twin effigies of animals, such as elephants, peacocks or cobras on either side.

The latter appears on the caduceus staff carried by Hermes, representing the life force energy connecting to the pineal gland or third eye.

The pinecone is the symbol of expansion of consciousness. (In nature the pinecone gradually opens to release the seeds). The pinecone symbolizes the pineal gland, the seat of our soul.

It is said that this symbol leads to the highest degree of spiritual illumination. 

In this mandala I placed intuitively two dragons on each side. For me it feels they have to release the fire codes, emphasized by the cosmic fire blown by the dragon below. The Dragon fire brings us in our power and brings Universes in synchronicity with Gaya.

The knowledge of thousands of years ago, known in that time only by a select group of people from different religions, is coming into our consciousness, helping us to integrate with all the other dimensions. It broadens our perspective and we can look with cosmic eyes in a world so much bigger than the planet we are walking on now.
